Phillies

The Phillies win the NL. They are division champs. This is crazy and only seems to be happening every 13-14 years so shouldn't be taken for granted. This is something every Phillie phan with never forget!! Only 19 more games more games till we bring home the rings. And to top it all off we WILL have this years MVP in Jroll (Phillies having the MVP two years in a row...who would have guessed). On top of this we could even have manager of the year being the Charlie lead this team over countless injuries and a starting record of 4-11. Only one last thing to say...GO PHILS!!

Catching Up

My goal for this weekend was to catch up on all my work that I lost on my MIA jump drive. While attempting to do that I got distracted by the Phillies fight for the divison against the Mets and the fact that the entire post season depends on Sunday's game. It is so exciting that the Phillies could actually go to the playoffs. So on Sunday while I am watching the BIGGEST game of the decade I will be reading about genetic testing. Hopefully I can finish quickly so I can actually enjoy the Eagles at night!!

Topics in Biology

As an assignment in my Topics in Biology class we are to create a blog and keep it posted with our progress. For this class we are required to go in depth into a topic in biology that interests us. I choose to research genetic diseases and genetic testing. After researching we are going to write a paper that could be taken out of a scientific journal, which is intimidating because the people who write articles in scientific journals are doctors with MDs and PHDs and I am only in high school. After we finish our papers we will be working of an hour long presentation about our topic. Finally we have to expand our topic beyond the classroom but I am not sure what that really means yet. So that's Topics in Biology and really the focus of my blog for now.

USB Drama

Oh the drama that is my life. Because I am a mess and lose absolutely EVERYTHING, I lost my USB drive. On this was my topics life. All of my research (including the original site and my notes on each source), my reference list, and the start of my paper. At first I literally had a panic attack thinking all my hard work was gone and lost forever. I still haven't found it but I had some of the stuff on the drive saved in other places, not all though. So right now I am rereading (and refinding) my sources. My advice to everyone: BACKUP YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!! I guess it is better to learn my lesson now then to have lost it closer to the paper's due date.
